February 22, 2010 - Mobile, Alabama - The Community Foundation of South Alabama is offering eight (8) scholarships on a "first come, first serve" basis for local nonprofit representatives to attend the 2010 Nonprofit Summit in Birmingham.
The $300 scholarship includes the $150 registration fee for the two day conference and up to $150 for travel expenses.
Deadline for registration is March 1st.
Receipt of a completed registration form is necessary to confirm your slot.
To qualify for a scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria.
- A nonprofit organization located within Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe or Washington Counties that is not currently an Alabama Association of Nonprofits member.
- An operating budget less than $100,000.
- First time attendee to a Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama workshop; currently known as the Alabama Association of Nonprofits.
